History of Halva

In the pre-Ottoman Turkish States, it was also quite common to make and eat halva due to nomadism. Death and the afterlife were intertwined because of the beliefs of the ancient Turks of Shamanism and tengricism. For this reason, they had to take advantage of the help of the spirits on the other side or make different practices because of the damage that could come from them. One of these applications was to remove a smell. All right, he made a smell when he was cooking halva. For this reason, it had a very important place for the Turkish nation.

How To Make Halva?

To put it simply, we first roast our flour with as much butter as you will make the recipe. After the flour gets a caramelized color when roasting, we reduce it to the bottom. And we pour the sorbet that we have made before on it and take it to rest.
